Basic Fact Fitness, Alberta Regions Slide Presentations, and Crafty Coding!

Even the short weeks have a lot of learning in them! This week we tried to do some more Basic Fact Fitness to get moving throughout the day. The teacher gives us the basic fact (ex. 2x4) and we answer by doing jumping jacks (in this example, we'd do 8). After a few of them, we switch the exercise to try to make sure we're moving many parts of our body! What a great way to learn and move...we should try it at home!

We spent a couple of days working on organizing our Alberta Region Slide Presentation. It's a lot of work getting that many computers to work at the same time! After some frustration and some quick problem solving, we have a good start on some of our presentations. We look forward to sharing them!

We finished the week with something different and completely new to many of the students-coding. Everyone seemed to enjoy coding and had some great ideas! Our classes were so quiet as we worked! I can show you what I've made at home.

It was a great week and now we're set for the next one!
