Writing Prompts
Student writing should consist of:
- Proper sentence structure
-Most spelling correct
-Good use of grammar including when to use capital and periods
-Details.... such as supportive evidence and opinions.... able to answer the why or because questions
-Good use of adjectives (describing words) and verbs (action words)
-Able to use 5 senses to describe story setting and figurative languages such as metaphor, similies or idioms
Students in grade 5/6 grades should be writing paragraphs consisting of 6 to 10 sentences without any difficulty.
